In Changing the paradigm of bias
One of the things we'll be discussing in the workshop is the extent to which we think biases are relevant for disclosure. I mean, think about it, what biases are disclosed are almost certainly the biases that have any chance of being mitigated. If the biases that folks HAVE to disclose are largely financial, but others aren't mandatory to disclose, what biases are sneaking by unchecked?

In Changing the paradigm of bias
Hi folks, One of the dualisms that I'll be discussing is the notion of bias and that of perspective. It seems to be that bias is perceived by society at large to be icky (the scientific term), but perspective is perceived to be completely understandable. One of the points I'll be making is that bias and perspectives are more closely entangled than we may have thought.

In Changing the paradigm of bias
Hi folks, I'll be speaking about this at the Futurist Forum and I'm excited. For a while now this has been bouncing around my head and I'm glad to share the conundrum. My background is motivation psychology, so it's been known to me since undergrad that financial incentives are among the WEAKEST and most fragile motivators of behaviour. Thus it's been funny to me that so much emphasis is placed on mitigating it, to almost the complete exclusion or discussion of other potential infiltrations of bias. What are the kinds of biases that you see in your practice? I'd love to chat with y'all about these.
